The Leading Ladies Organization is a women-operated organization founded in 2000 by six women looking to make a difference in their community. The purpose of Leading Ladies is to celebrate women who make a difference in our community through their profession, passion for community or volunteerism.
The Leading Ladies Immediate Response Fund was established at the Main Street Community Foundation (MSCF) in the spring of 2010 to build a permanent resource of funds for emergency assistance to women and girls in the Southington, CT community. MSCF accepts referrals from social service agencies and educational organizations to provide one-time immediate need grants to women and girls.
Women and girls who are in immediate need of items or assistance to help improve the quality of their lives are eligible. Preference will be given to women and girls with needs in the areas of health and safety, job opportunity assistance, enrichment and education.
The mission of the Leading Ladies organization is to be a women focused organization supporting women and girls in the Southington community. To create a better, more empowering, and more supportive environment for all women and girls to thrive.
The women of Leading Ladies, our Leaders, strive to make the Southington, CT community a more inclusive, supportive, and loving community for women and girls to grow and live in. Through the recognition of other women leaders in the community, and the use of the Leading Ladies Immediate Response Fund, the organization aims to help women in any situation become their most successful self.
