About

Leading Ladies is a women-focused organization founded in 2000 by six women looking to make a difference in the Southington community. The purpose of Leading Ladies is to celebrate women who make a difference in our community through their profession, passion for community or volunteerism.

Borne out of the successes of the Leading Ladies luncheons, the Leading Ladies Immediate Response Fund was established at the Main Street Community Foundation (MSCF) in the spring of 2010 to build a permanent resource of funds for emergency assistance to women and girls in the Southington, CT community. MSCF accepts referrals from social service agencies and educational organizations to provide one-time immediate need grants to women and girls.

Women and girls who are in immediate need of items or assistance to help improve the quality of their lives are eligible. Preference will be given to women and girls with needs in the areas of health and safety, job opportunity assistance, enrichment and education.

For further information or to determine eligibility for a grant please contact
The Main Street Community Foundation at 860-583-6363.
